More Interaction with the Natives
We've been asking our friends where they're hiding all the elephants. All the postcards have pretty painted elephants walking through the towns, but word on the street is that they all live in the jungles of Kerala --a whole 13 hours away! Good thing they keep one at a temple in Pondy.
We were shopping at a street market when we looked up and saw her standing right there between the stalls --wearing the biggest bling I've ever seen. I droppped a 1 Rupee coin right into her trunk and she blessed my head. How's that for getting to know the locals?
