Better late than never.
First off: apologies for the lack of updates on here. The reasons are many. Lauren and I have both been busy (more on that soon), and I'll admit I've had a bit of India withdrawl lately. It's definitely an experience that's still sinking in, and on some level, I didn't want to think about – much less write about – India for awhile. The other issue is that the progress photos we've received since December have been disappointing. The design was modified after we left, which came as a bit of a shock; we're not practicing architects/designers yet, but it's still hard to see our vision in an altered state. But from our computer screens here in Ohio, we have to trust that the modifications were made with the best intentions by people who know the situation better than we do. In fact, given the obstacles most construction projects in India face, we're extremely grateful work is progressing at all.
In the meantime, Lauren is hard at work finishing up her second-to-last quarter at UC; she'll graduate in June. I just wrapped up a brutal job search, which has landed me in Washington, DC. I'll be moving there next week.
Enough rambling, pictures follow... (ps - comments would be much appreciated; not sure how many people are still checking this):

All my checking paid off. Got something today. I can certainly understand how you both needed a break. Looks like they are making progress but am sorry they didn't (couldn't?) do it they way you designed it.
Hi guys, what’s up?
Glad to see the progress. I have been checking on the project for an update on a daily basis. Well do you know why the design changed?
take care
